IPSWICH Witches’ play-off hopes are still on track . . . but only just. That, after a hard-fought win over Edinburgh at Foxhall Stadium Friday night saw them secure all three points, and they head north to Scotland tonight hoping for a repeat performance where the re-match of this clash takes place. It was not easy meeting for Ipswich and they had to show real grit after the Monarchs threatened to race to victory, taking a five-point lead after heat five. However Leigh Lanham and Dakota North were a deadly partnership and they raced to two 5-1 maximums to steady the Ipswich ship, with North’s second place in heat 15 enough to grab all the spoils.
