Witches looking to do the double over Lions on Good Friday

IPSWICH ‘Sackers’ Witches welcome the Leicester ‘Elliot’ Lions to Foxhall for their traditional Good Friday afternoon.

IPSWICH ‘Sackers’ Witches welcome the Leicester ‘Elliot’ Lions to Foxhall for their traditional Good Friday afternoon.

The Lions will be looking for revenge after Ipswich beat them on their own track last Saturday, taking three league cup points in the process. Leicester will be back to full strength with Jari Makinen returning after a recent leg injury and reserve Kyle Hughes also being declared fit to ride. They are lead by ex-Witch Lasse Bjerre who was a fans favourite at Foxhall last year and who is bound to prove a handful for his ex-team mates. Their skipper Kauko Nieminen and third heat leader Magnus Karlsson will provide him with some solid backup and both Simon Lambert & Jan Graversen have experience of riding at Ipswich.

Ipswich will be aimimg to cement their position at the top of the Premier League Cup table by taking all three points on offer. They are unchanged from last week’s home meeting with R/R still being used at number two to cover for Taylor Poole. It should be a great afternoon’s racing here on the heath and there are lots of Easter extras for the kids as well so get there early! The meeting is sponsored by ‘The Gas Shop’.

Gates will be open at 13:00 with an Easter Egg hunt, free face painting, bouncy castle and kids go free if accompanied by a paying adult and a voucher from the Ipswich Star. Full details can be found on our team website: www.ipswichwitches.co
