Ipswich ‘Sackers’ Witches ran out easy winners in the John Berry Memorial Meeting at Foxhall Heath.

The old 13-heat format again proved good fun, even if some of the regulations did cause a bit of confusion.

Not that it mattered and with the 1970s music blaring out and old speedway bikes on display it was another fitting tribute to the late Witches promoter Berry, who died last year.

On track the Witches were too good for a John Berry Memorial 7 and ran out easy winners, with confidence-boosting efforts from Morten Risager, Leigh Lanham and Cameron Heeps.

Former Witch Danny King, stepping in for Ben Barker who had a knee injury, was too good for this field and he led the Witches with a full 12-point maximum.

Witches: King 12, Lanham 11, Risager 11, Heeps 8, Ellis and Hawkins 3.

JB select: Klindt 9, Boxall 9, North 6, Doolan 3, Davies 2, Nielsen 1, Bates 0.
