Ipswich Witches 42 Scunthorpe Scorpions 52
IPSWICH Witches’ recent good form came crashing down to earth after a humbling defeat to Scunthorpe Scorpions at Foxhall Stadium. The Witches again started a home meeting poorly and quite frankly were out-ridden by a determined visiting side. It really wasn’t good enough. Indeed after eight races, the home heat leaders, Leigh Lanham, Dakota North and Kevin Doolan had scored just two points between them – by the end of the meeting just eight! And that was the problem. Not for the first time visiting heat leaders dominated and it’s something that may have to be addressed. Rohan Tungate, Mat Tresarrieu and Cameron Heeps battled hard, while Morten Risager had good moments. But this was pathetic stuff from the Witches and the Foxhall faithful were rightly not happy.
