MEMBERS and friends of the Ipswich-based Wolsey Road Club celebrated the club’s 50th anniversary at a lunch at the Ipswich Holiday Inn, held jointly with CTC Suffolk with which the Wolsey has always been closely associated.

Nine of the original 18 founder members were present to hear Guest Speaker Geoff Mayne propose the toast to the club.
Mike Havard replied on behalf of the two clubs, keeping the diners smiling with tales of how in his youth he became a dedicated racing cyclist.
2010 Wolsey RC Club Champion was Andy Pearson, while the winner of the 25 mile cup was Robert Quarton
