WOODBRIDGE Athletic are planning for the future by starting up their first youth side. With the first team promoted to the Senior Division of the Metaltec SIL and the reserves doing well in Intermediate B it was thought now was the time to start a youth section.
The Under-13's play in the South Suffolk League Division Two and have started with two draws.
“Our aim as a club is to have a new youth team start every season until we reach our dream of having a club that starts from under 9's to over 35's,” says secretary Claire Driver.
“Another goal we have is to have our own ground and youth academy, but this needs the continuing support of sponsors.
“We are currently looking for a commercial manager to help find new sponsors so that we can achieve our aim.
“We would like to thank Darren Pennock at Home Call Carpets for sponsoring our new youth team's kit and welcome enquiries for the commercial manager post.”
