Colchester United will be forced into at least one change, for tomorrow’s League Two match at Wycombe Wanderers, following last weekend’s 4-1 home defeat to Cheltenham, due to Kyel Reid’s suspension.

Loanee Reid returned to his parent club Coventry City this week, after being sent off against the Robins for violent conduct – the 30-year-old winger’s loan spell with the U’s expires this weekend.

Reid’s future is unclear, although it is believed that the U’s are keen to retain the services of the much-travelled Londoner, although they might face competition from other clubs.

Sammie Szmodics, the League Two player-of-the-month for December, was an unused substitute against Cheltenham, and his training sessions have been limited this week due to a niggle, although the 22-year-old could well start tomorrow.

Club captain, Luke Prosser, sidelined for the last 14 months with a knee injury, might return to the squad, although Ryan Inniss is still out with a sore shoulder.
