Ipswich Town youngsters Ben Morris and Conor McKendry have joined up with the Blues squad in Ireland, ahead of the team’s first pre-season friendly of the summer, at Drogheda United tomorrow.

The duo join fellow academy products Flynn Downes, George Fowler, Tristan Nydam and Pat Webber at Carton House, all could feature against the League of Ireland Premier Division side.

Meanwhile, manager Mick McCarthy has confirmed there has been interest in some of his squad, amidst Rotherham manager Paul Warne’s comments that he was interested in taking Josh Emmanuel and Kieffer Moore on-loan to the League One club.

“There has been a bit of interest, certainly in one of the players and in terms of loans, we have had enquiries about two others,” said the Town boss.
