SUFFOLK are on the FA County Youth Cup trail as they take on Middlesex FA at Wealdstone FC in a second round tie tomorrow, kick-off 1.30pm.
Suffolk, winners of this competition in 2005 and 2008, defeated London 4-1 at Kings Marsh Stadium in the first round with two goals by AFC Sudbury’s Liam Whitticker on his home ground and one apiece for Team Bury pair Sam Peters and Will Hitter.
Manager Darren Oxbrow, the former Ipswich and Colchester defender who has taken over running the side from Andy Gould, said: “That was our first game together and the team played very well. With the players we have got if we play to our strengths we are good enough to beat anyone.”
Suffolk squad: Fred Howe (AFC Sudbury), Sam Peters, Jack Edwards, Luke Ingram, Perry Moody, Will Hitter, Dan Hitching (all Team Bury), Matthew Cripps (Cornard), Matt McKenzie (Felixstowe & Walton Utd), Liam Whitticker (AFC Sudbury), Ben Lancaster (Coplestonians), Dan Galley, Josh Curry, Adam Clarke, Connor Hall (all Team Bury).
