SUFFOLK under-14s development squad produced a fantastic display against Norwich City to claim a draw in their first ever match.

Norwich took the lead in the first half through a header, but Suffolk rallied in the second half and Sam Ford found the top right-hand corner to give the away side a deserved draw.

Suffolk FA Representative Manager Darren Oxbrow said: “For their first performance a 1-1 draw against Norwich City is an excellent achievement, and will give them a great boost for future games against further top quality opposition.”

The team, which was formed in February, are hoping to arrange fixtures against high-profile teams such as Liverpool, Peterborough United and Colchester United.
