Suffolk side produce fantastic display against Norwich City

SUFFOLK under-14s development squad produced a fantastic display against Norwich City to claim a draw in their first ever match.

Norwich took the lead in the first half through a header, but Suffolk rallied in the second half and Sam Ford found the top right-hand corner to give the away side a deserved draw.

Suffolk FA Representative Manager Darren Oxbrow said: “For their first performance a 1-1 draw against Norwich City is an excellent achievement, and will give them a great boost for future games against further top quality opposition.”

The Suffolk FA have also announced the squad for the teams next fixture against Ipswich Town at Playford Road on Thrusday, May 10 with a 6pm kick-off.

The team, which was formed in February, are hoping to arrange fixtures against high-profile teams such as Liverpool, Peterborough United and Colchester United.
