Susan Calman: The Calman Before the Storm

It’s Susan Calman’s tenth year in comedy and she’s back with a brand new show. You may have seen or heard her on shows like QI, Have I Got News For You or Mock the Week; now you have the opportunity to see her in person and she’s ready to create a storm, to set the record straight, to give it to the man (whoever he is). Ninety minutes of comedy that you will enjoy if you’re over 16, like what she does, and won’t be so drunk that she has to throw you out.

Joel Dommett: Live 2017

This energetic comedian is on the road with his solo show, Joel Dommett: LIVE, and brings his brand of high octane comedy to Ipswich in September. The star of 2016’s ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ and Sky1’s ‘Bring The Noise’ came onto the comedy scene in 2007 and has received critical acclaim for his Edinburgh Fringe shows. He has also appeared in television shows including; Impractical Jokers (BBC3) and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC).

Russell Brand - Re: Birth

The controversial comedian is bringing his new tour to Ipswich. The latest show is inspired by the birth of his daughter and he says: “Once you’ve had a baby you’re a parent and immediately you go from being a madman(cool) to a mad dad (not cool). How can you be a dangerous, edgy, rebel with a tiny, little daughter?” The June gig is nearly sold out but tickets are still available when he returns to the town later in the year.

Jeremy Hardy is in his fourth decade as a stand-up this year. He is well known for his appearances on ‘The News Quiz’ and ‘I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue’, and television credits include ‘QI’ (BBC1), ‘Mock The Week’ (BBC2) and Grumpy Old Men (BBC1). He is also on the road all year round and has never stopped doing live shows since 1984. After briefly hibernating in the winter, he’s back out on the road in 2017.

Katy Brand: I was a teenage Christian

This hit Edinburgh Festival show is an honest, fascinating and funny exploration of Katy Brand’s self-imposed conversion and total immersion in evangelical Christianity.Katy performed her first professional comedy gig in a London pub in 2004, before joining acclaimed sketch comedy troupe Ealing Live!, and touring around the country with her own show. She won a British Comedy award for her TV sketch series ‘Katy Brand’s Big Ass Show’ in 2008 and has since written for and appeared in numerous films, TV programmes and radio shows.

Famous for his one-liners and puns, Milton Jones is a previous Perrier Best Newcomer and Nominee, Sony Award winner and British Comedy Award nominee. He regularly appears on TV shows including Mock the Week (BBC2) and Live at the Apollo (BBC1) and he has headlined Dave’s One Night Stand (DAVE).

Join stand-up comedian, poet, improviser, and TV stalwart, Phill Jupitus, for over an hour of tales, laughs and diversions. Watch in delight, and/or horror, as this experienced funny man smashes laughs out of the chaos of his own life and the uncertain world that surrounds it. Adult themes and situations, but delivered childishly. Phill became a familiar face when he started as team captain on BBC2’s pop quiz ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ in 1996, which went on to run for 19 years.

The Tour is back with three top comedians on stage alongside returning compere Jarred Christmas.
