FESTIVAL goers were getting into the party spirit at Ipswich train station today.

Hundreds of people queued in the rain as they made their way to Suffolk's Latitude festival.

After reaching the station by train the revellers faced long queues to buy bus tickets and then board the buses to the venue at Henham Park near Southwold.

But despite facing waits of around an hour in the miserable weather the crowds refused to have their spirits dampened.

Ella Osborne, who was celebrating her 25th birthday today, had travelled from Deal, near Dover, in Kent.

She said: “I'm very excited. It's my birthday so I'm as excited as I possibly could be.

“It is frustrating to be in the queue but it's been moving pretty quickly.

“I haven't been before but I've heard good reviews.”

Meanwhile friends Carrie Prew, Lara O'Connor, Kieran Hurley and David Roper had travelled from London.

Kieran said: “I'm excited but I haven't brought a raincoat!”

While Carrie added: “We're a bit gutted about the queue but still really looking forward to it.”
