Bury St Edmunds Concert Band has prepared for its busy autumn season with a tour of Belgium.
The band’s first venture overseas since it was formed in 1991 included outdoor concerts in the towns of Ostend and De Panne. The band also played as part of the daily Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres.
Director of music, Rob Head, said: “We had a fabulous welcome from the people of Belgium. The audiences for the concerts were wonderful; it was great to have such enthusiastic crowds.” At 7pm on Saturday, the band return to Ickworth House for Proms in the Park.
