Bury St Edmunds: Rolling Stone set for Abbey gardens gig

A FORMER Rolling Stone star will perform in a special gig in a Suffolk town.

Bill Wyman, former bass guitarist with the legendary group, will stage a midsummer picnic concert in Bury St Edmunds’ Abbey Gardens in July.

Mr Wyman, who lives in Gedding, will be joined by special guests including Andy Fairweather Low, Georgie Fame, Albert Lee and Geraint Watkins in the concert on Sunday, July 24.

Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings will form part of the three-night Abbey Fest in Bury which will run from July 22 to 24.
