BUDDING young actors and actresses have been treading the boards at the Apex, in Bury St Edmunds.
For students from the town’s County Upper School are performing Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit West End musical Phantom of the Opera.
The licence for the famous and successful work, which originally starred Michael Crawford in the lead role, has only recently been released to amateur companies and the school, in Beetons Way, is one of the first of its kind to perform the stunning show which features more than 100 members of the school community.
It began its run at the town centre venue last night and continues today and again tomorrow.
