Chatty Man Alan Carr and The Last Leg’s Adam Hills will headline the Glee Club comedy stage at this year’s V Festival

“Can’t wait to perform at V! Watch out Timberlake there’s someone else bringing Sexy Back. See you there,” said award-winning comedian Carr on his first visit to the festival.

Also on the bill on August 16 is stand-up, Paul Chowdhry who added:“If my performance time on the comedy stage clashes with Justin Timberlake or The Killers, I’d like to apologise in advance for stealing their audience.”

They will be joined at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, by Jimmy McGhie, Andrew Bird, Jarlath Regan, Ben Hurley, John Fothergill, Dave Twentyman, Dapper Laughs, Boothby Graffoe and emcee Kevin McCarthy.

Australian stand-up Hills, who is also making his debut V Festival performance this year, will headline on August 17. He will be joined by Rob Beckett, Andrew Maxwell, Phil Nicol, Pat Cahill, Matt Reed, Peter White, Matt Richardson, Keith Farnan, Andy Askins, Steve Gribbin and emcee Charlie Baker.

Music acts already confirmed for August 16 are Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheeran, Example, Elbow, Bastille, Alesso, Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers, Above and Beyond, Tom Odell, Blondie, John Newman, Janelle Monae, Kodaline, Miles Kane, The Human League, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Pixie Lott, Starsailor, Alex Clare, The Strypes, Birdy, Foxes, The Stranglers, Paul Heaton and Jaqui Abbott, George Ezra, The Wailers, All Saints, Icona Pop and The Rifles.

Performing on August 17 are The Killers, Paolo Nutini, Lily Allen, Axwell A Ingrosso, Rudimental, Tinie Tempah, Chase and Status DJ set, Rita Ora, Sub Focus, Jason Derulo, Katy B, Train, Rizzle Kicks, Sam Smith, Childish Gambino, Ceelo Green, Embrace, Newton Faulkner, Aloe Blacc, Nine Nesbitt, Ella Eyre, Jess Glynne, The Magic Numbers, M People, The Wonder Stuff, Becky Hill and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers.
