Extra train services will be provided for this year’s V Festival in Chelmsford.
Greater Anglia hopes the increase in services will encourage people going to the festival, on August 17 and 18, to choose the “green” travel option with public transport.
For people travelling on those two days, there will be a normal weekend schedule with additional services going to and from Chelmsford on the Saturday and additional services leaving Chelmsford on the Sunday, with the last service at 1.30am.
Donna Thorpe, Greater Anglia’s head of customer service north, said: “We are pleased to be arranging many additional stops at Chelmsford station for our customers travelling to the festival and some additional late-night services for those returning home after the festivities.“
