John Godber’s classic school comedy Teechers will be staged at the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds next month.
Blackeyed Theatre is hosting a revival of its highly-acclaimed production about life at a modern comprehensive for Mr Nixon, an unsuspecting new drama teacher.
The play brings to life an array of terrifying teachers and hopeless pupils through the eyes of Salty, Gail and Hobby – three Year 11 students about to leave school for good.
The cast comprises of Jake Addley (Mother Courage, One Fine Day, The Gruffalo’s Child) reprising the role of Salty, Nicole Black (The Dream Factory, Fenrir, Submerged) reprising the role of Gail and Rosalind Seal (Abigail’s Party, Fat Pig, Rapid Response: Moonface), who is taking on the role of Hobby for the first time.
Tickets for Teechers – from Feb 26-28 – are on sale at the box office, call 01284 769505, book online at www.theatreroyal.org or visit the theatre in person.
