Russell Brand is returning to the Ipswich Regent with new tour Re:Birth.

The comedian, author, broadcaster, columnist and activist will explore modern media, politics, sex, fatherhood and death as he tries to make sense of life having just made a new one.

“How do we make sense of the madness of our lives once we become parents? What am I going to tell my daughter about conformity and responsibility? What happens if she grows up to be like me or, worse, date someone like me,” he said of the new show.

His critically acclaimed tours include 2006’s Shame, 2007’s Only Joking, 2009’s Scandalous, which marked his US live debut; and 2013’s hugely successful Messiah Complex which was also a best-selling DVD.

Brand last visited the Regent in 2013. Reviewer Craig Robinson described him as charming, enthusiastic and engaging throughout.

His next appearance at the theatre is on June 8. Tickets go on sale from 10am, Friday, February 3.
