Suffolk superstar Ed Sheeran is to release a concert film based on his three sell-out performances at Wembley Stadium earlier this year.

The film, entitled Jumpers for Goalposts, will be debuted in London’s Leicester Square on Thursday, October 22.

The debut, which has been billed as “an invitation for Ed’s millions of fans to join him around the world and celebrate what he has achieved so far”, will be beamed live via satellite to cinema screens across the world, and will include red carpet highlights and an exclusive live performance, before showing the film in its entirety for the first time.

The performances in July marked the first time that a solo British male artist had headlined the England football team’s national stadium.

The film will bring together Ed’s three performances, giving fans that headed to the shows in the capital another chance to relive their favourite moments – including a duet with Sir Elton John.

Jumpers for Goalposts will also document Ed’s road to Wembley along with an intimate reflection on how far the Framlingham-raised 24-year-old, who will be given an honorary degree at University Campus Suffolk later this year, has come. Additional film screenings will be playing in select cinemas on the weekend of October 23 to 25, with tickets going on sale from Thursday.
