ONE of the UK’s most iconic bands are coming to the Ipswich Regent as they release their first new album for 14 years.
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark’s Andy McCluskey calls the appropriately entitled History Of Modern their “best album since Architecture and Morality”.
It was produced by OMD and mixed by one of the UK’s most in demand producers Mike Crossey, who has worked with Artic Monkeys, Blood Red Shoes and Razorlight.
The album sees a return to the band’s early pioneering electronic roots, a sound now recognised as being a major influence on many of today’s electro artists.
This autumn’s tour, which comes to Ipswich on November 5, boasts the classic line up of McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Martin Cooper and Malcolm Holmes.
After three years of critically-acclaimed, sell-out concerts in the UK and Europe they will mix the new songs with the classic hits during the new tour.
