Visitors to the Suffolk Show are urged to enjoy a free cuppa in our Tea Marquee.

In celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday, the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star are inviting visitors to the two-day agricultural showpiece to join them for a cuppa.

You can also buy a traditional scone as the perfect accompaniment to your brew.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the show with a visit to our Tea Marquee at stand 705 in the New White Zone, Fourth Avenue.

Everyone is welcome and simply by collecting a token from either the East Anglian Daily Times or Ipswich Star you could enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee. Don’t forget to collect your tokens in today’s and tomorrow’s papers.

Alternatively you can buy a goody bag containing a copy of the EADT or Ipswich Star as you enter the showground, which will entitle you to a free drink at the stand.

Debbie Noye, promotions manager, said: “The tea marquee is always popular, whatever the weather.

“Our suppliers this year are Waitrose (Ipswich) and The White Hart of Hadleigh. The team at the White Hart are currently working on a tempting range of scones, both savoury and sweet, and a Queen’s Tea comprising tea or coffee, scone, jam, cream and strawberries.

“We look forward to meeting as many of our readers as possible.”
