Extra trains will run to serve this year’s V Festival in Hylands Park, Chelmsford.

Additional services will stop at Chelmsford as part of the routine weekend timetable from rail operator Abellio Greater Anglia.

Extra trains will also run from Chelmsford to London, Colchester, Clacton and Ipswich with last trains all departing after midnight on both days of the festival on August 16-17.

Simi Tinubu, area customer services manager for the rail operator, said: “The V Festival is one of the best festivals in the country, with some great headline acts.

“We are pleased to be arranging many additional stops at Chelmsford station for our customers travelling to the festival and some additional late night services for those returning home after the festivities. We hope everyone enjoys this very special event.”
