Dance stars the Stereo MC’s have joined the line-up of The Big Tree Festival this summer.

Best known for the 1990s dance anthems Step It Up and Connected, they will join Athlete, Republica, Will and the People, Mamas Gun, The Undercover Hippy, Ruarri Joseph, Liz Lawrence and Police Dog Hogan on Saturday’s main stage.

“The Stereo MC’s were one of our first targets and we are absolutely thrilled to confirm their attendance,” said Andy Reed, of Creation Suffolk.

“The line-up has a real sense of quality about it and we especially like the blend of established, upcoming and local acts we have managed to attract.

“There is still more exciting news to come, with another very well known act headlining our Sunday night, as well as an exciting talent fronting the Floating Lotus stage.”

Other artists appearing during the festival include Beverley Craven, Dodgy and Kal Lavelle, who recently supported Ed Sheeran on his UK tour; The Christians and Missing Andy.

Sunday’s main stage and Saturday’s second stage headliners are due to be announced in the coming weeks.

CBeebies star Mr Bloom will entertaining children and there will be fun and educational workshops and activities for all ages including storytelling, allotment advice and holistic treatments.

The Big Tree Festival comes to Euston Park from August 2-4.
