Lipstick on Your Collar, Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe, June 9
Step back in time to the golden era of pop music this weekend at the Spa Pavilion. Music from the 1950s and 60s features in this spectacular music show Lipstick on Your Collar.
This show which was previously performed in the West End includes hits from the likes of Connie Francis, Buddy Holly, Brenda Lee, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beatles, The Ronettes, Cliff Richard, Cilla Black, Sandi Shaw and many more musical legends.
The show will run for two hours and takes you on a journey from the birth of Rock n’ Roll through to the Beat Group sounds of the British Invasion and beyond. Dancing in the aisles is mandatory, so bring your dancing shoes and let the good times roll.
A Knights Tale, Framlingham Castle, June 9 and 10
Geoffrey Chaucer’s A Knights Tale will be brought to life at Framlingham Castle this weekend. Visitors will be able to join historical performers as they teach you the essential skills of combat, try archery, take part in junior jousting, explore the famous wall walk and lots more.
Performances will take place at 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 June.

Bury St Edmunds Farmers Market, The Traverse, Bury St Edmunds, June 10
Pick up some fresh local produce at the Bury St Edmunds Farmers Market this Sunday. The farmers’ market is held on the second Sunday of every month, on The Traverse in the centre of town.
A line-up of the area’s finest producers will be delighting shoppers with their top quality local produce, including award winning bread, amazing local honey, award winning pies, locally grown vegetables, Suffolk beef and tasty vegetarian snacks.
Everything that is sold will have been produced by the person selling and the majority of products will have travelled less than 30 miles. It will start at 10am and finish at 4pm.
Kentwell Hall’s Wool Weekend and All Things Sheep, Kentwell Hall, June 9 and 10
Head down to Kentwell Hall for a woolly weekend. The shearer will be hard at work in the stableyard, shearing a flock of sheep, while a small number of Tudors will be working with wool at the barns. If you fancy your own Kentwell ‘fleece’ they will be available to buy.
The House and Gardens will be open and there will be extra fun for families with the Heffalump Hunt, Storybook Trail and childrens’ games area.
The event starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm.
Sudbury Food and Drink Festival, St Peter’s and Market Hill, June 10
What could be better than enjoying a food and drink festival with loved ones?
The event is dedicated to celebrating, promoting and showcasing the very best producers, restaurants, chefs and food industries. There will be over sixty stalls filling Market Hill and St Peter’s Church.
On the main stage there will be a range of Suffolk’s very best chefs and bakers, and inside St Peter’s Church you will be able to watch cooking demos throughout the day. In the new Fringe Tent you will have the opportunity to meet some producers talking about a range of topics including beekeeping, chocolate sculpture and cutting down on waste. Dogs are welcome on Market Hill but not in St Peter’s Church. It is free to get in to the event and it will run from 10am to 4pm.
Bubble Rush, High Woods Country Park, Colchester, June 9
Take part in a fun-filled bubbly day with the family. The 5K route has four bubble cannons to hit you with coloured bubbles.
Participants of all ages and all abilities can take part, you can run, jog, walk, or dance through the foam. There will be a bubble village where there will be entertainment and refreshments.
The event will raise money for St Helena Hospice so you will need to get sponsored for the event however there isn’t a minimum sponsorship amount. There will be three races one at 10am, 11am and 12pm. For more information and a sponsor sheet visit the website.
Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave, Trinity Park Ipswich, June 10
Take your little ones to Suffolk’s first ever family-friendly rave this weekend.
Trinity Park bosses have teamed up with international events company Big Fish Little Fish (BFLF) to put on a disco with a difference this Sunday.
The indoor event is designed for children up to eight years old and has a ‘Summer of Love’ theme with optional – but encouraged – fancy dress.
There will be confetti cannons, a face painting stall, bubbles and a giant parachute dance and lots more. The dance extravaganza will be running from 2 to 4.30pm. Parents can bring a maximum of three children per adult, adults must be accompanied by a child and older siblings are welcome.
Music for the rave is monitored and played at a safe level for younger ears. Noise levels are set lower than at normal nightclubs, but parents with children who are particularly sensitive to loud music are being asked to consider bringing ear defenders.
