A Suffolk artist has created a series of interpretations of eight women who helped shape a prestigious estate near Bury St Edmunds.
John Williams has created the artwork which will be displayed around Ickworth estate’s winter trail through the Albana walk until the end of February.
Mr Williams, who also volunteers at Ickworth, said: “Each artwork features examples of the legacy each woman left to us, from Geraldine Anson’s wide collection of silver fishes and fans, to Theodora, 4th Marchioness of Bristol’s influence in the decision to gift Ickworth to the National Trust, ensuring its conservation and protection.”
Two new designs in the outdoor exhibition, featuring members of the Hervey family who lived at the estate, are also now available to see.
People who have walked the exhibition and made their own discoveries about each woman can then visit the West Wing Orangery or join a house tour to hear more.
