A group of skilled musicians gathered from south Suffolk and north Essex will launch their new album in Colchester on Friday, July 7.
Each member of Fishclaw previously worked in different genres – from folk, rock, hip-hop and jazz, to blues and electronic music – combining their creativity to produce an original sound.
Having refined their craft at East Anglian venues and festivals, including Latitude – where they play the BBC Music Introducing Stage this year – the band’s album launch promises visual projections and the return of whistle and flute player, Shari Stacher, who moved back to Belfast at the end of last year.
As well as being the first chance to hear the new album from Fishclaw, the event at Firstsite, in Lewis Gardens, will showcase other acts from the local area, including Colchester’s own Rubber Jaw filling the main support slot, and young locals, unwaves, opening the evening.
