A soprano singer from Suffolk is taking part in a “crazy summer” of performances as part of major European opera productions, Disney documentaries and film soundtracks.

Christina Johnston, who lived in Woodbridge before moving to the continent, is currently performing at The Estates Theatre in Prague as Zerlina in Don Giovanni during a special production run, re-enacting its premiered performance with Mozart. “It has been fantastic to be part of it and it has had great reviews,” she said.

Ms Johnston, 26, who attended Framlingham College with the mezzo-soprano Laura Wright, is also preparing to record with the Philharmonic orchestra as the solo singer for Disney’s documentary nature film Aldabara, which will be in cinemas next year. Her big screen performance will follow on from another Czech soundtrack, called Stoleti Miroslava Zikmunda, which she has just finished.

“It’s been a crazy summer here in Europe,” she said.
