Fans of the animated Disney film Frozen will have the opportunity to experience every song and snow flake with an Open Air Cinema Day at Ipswich Town Football Club this summer.

The club has joined with Ipswich Borough Council for the event, with four films being screened on the practice pitch as part of this year’s Ip-art festival.

The event takes place on Saturday, July 4 with Frozen at 10am followed by Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at 12.30pm, Avengers Assemble at 3.45pm and The Bodyguard at 8pm.

Gordon Mole, head of culture and environment at Ipswich Borough Council, said: “We are all looking forward to this fantastic film day, when it will be anything but frozen!

“Portman Road is used to singing, so I am sure we will hear a lot more.

“We also want to encourage customers to dress up as their favourite character in the film.

“It’s exciting to be working with the football club as we are both promoting the Town!”

Rosie Richardson, director of sales, Ipswich Town Football Club, added: “We are delighted to be working with Ipswich Borough Council to stage an open air cinema day at Ipswich Town Football Club – there will be an array of films to suit all tastes and will look forward to welcoming everyone.
