Crowds unwound and eased themselves into an afternoon of alfresco jazz in a Suffolk village.

Barring one unwelcome downpour, music lovers enjoyed the sunshine and the sounds of Orford’s annual Jazz at The Pavilion concert.

The intimate outdoor venue experienced the biggest crowd in the history of the event, which began in 2003 when Jamie Cullum fulfilled a promise to headline after pulling out of an earlier fundraising black tie jazz dinner in the village.

Other artists have included Jacqui Dankworth and Gwyneth Herbert.

This year, Framlingham jazz singer Polly Gibbons and award-winning vocalist Georgia Mancio topped the bill, which also included returning performer Natasha Hodge with the Jazz Bazaar, and pianist Nick Raison.
