Ipswich Choral Society will be celebrating the work of William Shakespeare to mark the 400th year since his death with a special concert.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 25 outside Christchurch Mansion, from 6.30-8pm.

The concert will feature performances of music from Shakespeare’s time, as well as performances of his poems and modern day poets’ reactions, with the first half of the concert being held outside the mansion, before continuing with the second half inside the mansion in the Wolsey Gallery.

A society spokesman said: “It promises to be a fantastic evening so come along to rejoice in the life and works of England’s most famous playwright.”
