The Ipswich Regent has issued a fake ticket warning to Mumford and Sons fans coming to tonight’s gig.
It was contacted by Portsmouth’s Guildhall which had to turn away nearly 250 fans last night after they were found to have fake tickets.
The theatre is currently working with police to investigate what happened.
In the meantime, a statement on the band’s website said: “We sincerely hope not too many of you good honest Mumford & Sons fans have been affected. If you have purchased tickets from any secondary vendors then we would urge you to seek your money back immediately. Remember to always purchase tickets from official vendors only.”
The Regent will turn away anyone with a fake ticket and they will not be refunded by the theatre. Anyone concerned their ticket is invalid should contact the box office on 01473 433100.
