NEVER Mind the Buzzcocks team captain Phill Jupitus will lead his knights on the search for the holy grail when Monty Python’s Spamalot comes to town.

The playwrite, performer, actor, football pundit and sometimes singer with The Blockheads will play Arthur, King of the Britons.

Joining the QI and I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue regular will be Todd Carty as Patsy.

Famed for playing Tucker in Grange Hill and the spin off Tucker’s Luck, as well as Mark Fowler in EastEnders and Pc Gabriel Kent in The Bill, he won the nation’s hearts with his appearance on Dancing on Ice last year.

The Lady of the Lake will be played by Jessica Martin.

Spamalot, by Eric Idle and John DuPrez, won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2005 and has had audiences roaring with laughter worldwide ever since.

It tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table and features the hilarious songs He Is Not Dead Yet, Knights Of The Round Table, Find Your Grail and of course the Nation’s Favourite Comedy Song Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.

Monty Python’s Spamalot runs at the Ipswich Regent from March 7-12.
