Ticket sales have been announced for next year’s Latitude Festival in Suffolk – before the dust has even settled on its latest outing.
Festival organisers announced this morning that tickets for the 13th outing at Henham Park, near Southwold, would be on sale from 10am on Thursday. It comes just a few hours after the latest festival drew to a close with a headline set from Fleet Foxes.
Melvin Benn, managing director of Festival Republic said this year’s festival had been “one of the best, and most certainly the biggest yet” with 40,000 people attending.
“The 1975 gave us a phenomenal debut headline performance on Friday night,” he added.
“Mumford and Sons and their Gentlemen of the road Takeover brought with it so many memorable performances – notable their headline set which was simply unforgettable.
“Fleet Foxes rounded off the weekend in the only way they know how – it was stunning.
“Yet again, I’m blown away by our Latitude audience, who were treated to the finest in music, arts theatre, comedy and literature.,
“I can’t wait ti see you all again next year.”
This year’s festival kicked off on Thursday night with some theatrical acts.
Friday saw The 1975 make their Obelisk Arena headline debut, with the announcement of new material in the form of Music for Cars, as well as performances from The Horrors and Goldfrapp. Over on the BBC Music Stage, indie icons Placebo provided a career-spanning headline set, with support from Ride and East Anglian native Beth Orton.
Highlights on Saturday included Mumford and Sons’ curated Gentlemen of the Road line up, as well as sets from Two Door Cinema Club and Jack Garratt.
Finishing proceedings on the Sunday were acts including Loyle Carner, Temples, Ibibio Sound Machines and Fatboy Slim as well as the headliners Fleet Foxes.
Comedy acts across the three days included Dara O’Briain and Simon Amstel.
A festival spokesman said: “As the sun sets on this years’ festival, sights are already set on 2018 when Latitude will return to Henham Park in July for its 13th edition.”
Tickets will be available from 10am on Thursday, July 20, by visiting the website.
