An annual show returns to Suffolk this weekend.

The Mid and West Suffolk Show takes place at Stonham Barns on Saturday and Sunday.

The show is being run by a new events team, comprised of events manager Gordon Milne and events assistant Lucy Brett.

It will see a number of attractions return to the showground at the retail village, including jousting performance stunt team The Knights of the Damned, The Lowestoft dog agility team and a flying display from the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary.

The Suffolk Land Rover Club will be present and there will also be a parade of 40 classic cars and motorcycles, along with a petting zoo for children, and donkey rides on the Saturday.

The event will also give visitors the chance to see the retail village’s new barn, which will be hosting a number of trade stalls.

There will also be live music and weather depending, a hot air balloon display.

Miss Brett said: “It’s a family fun day out.”

She added that if families have flyers for the event they can trade them for free face painting and the retail village will be open between 10am and 4pm on both days.

Miss Brett added: “It’s a family fun day, an annual event here at Stonham Barns and we’re excited to launch another great year of shows as well.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors this coming weekend.”

Entry is £7.50 per adult and £5 for concessions and children. A family ticket, for two adults and two children, is £20. Children under the age of four are free.
