The Beach Boys will make their Newmarket Nights debut this summer, it has been revealed.

Currently on an American tour, the group - who have sold more than 100million records worldwide over the last half century - will play The July Course on Friday, July 18.

Known for hits like Good Vibrations, Help Me, Rhonda and California Girls the touring band is led by original member Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who joined in 1965, alongside supporting musicians John Cowsill, Tim Bonhomme, Randell Kirsch, Scott Totten and Christian Love.

“Some of the most famous artists and bands of all time have played at Adnams Newmarket Nights. Now in their 28th year, we are thrilled to be welcoming one of the greatest groups – The Beach Boys – to The July Course. We’re anticipating a surge of interest in their concert, so racing and music fans alike are recommended to book their places as soon as they can,” said Amy Starkey, regional director east of Jockey Club Racecourses.

Other acts already announced include Tom Jones on August 1, James Blunt on June 27 and Wet Wet Wet on August 15 with more to be revealed. X Factor winner James Arthur will play Newmarket Racecourses Summer Saturday Live on May 31.
