Raising their voices and money in aid of good cause
ST Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir will be taking part in a charity concert in aid of the West Suffolk, Thetford and Sudbury Cancer Support Group this Saturday .
It’s a busy time for the choir, who are recording pieces for a forthcoming DVD release and have just started making plans for a proposed USA tour in 2012.
Their third album, Mysterium, was released earlier this year and Saturday’s show at St Gregory’s Church, Sudbury, from 7.30pm, will be their final full concert performance of 2010.
Also performing on the night will be local singer Jenny Seggar and Russian violinist Elena Lyutserina.
Russian violinist Elena, who now lives in Suffolk, plays first violin with the Suffolk Sinfonia and the Wolsey Orchestra as well as performing as a soloist in the area. This will be her second collaboration with the male voice choir.
Tickets for the show cost 8 and are available from Balaam’s Music and Churchgate Books in Bury St Edmunds and the Tourist Information Office in Sudbury.
