Join almost half a million people across the country taking part in The Big Draw this weekend with this year’s theme ‘Living Lines’.

This free event held in the centre of Wickham Market is perfect for those experienced and inexperienced artists.

For more information visit their page.Fright Night, Colchester ZooOctober 21The brilliant Colchester Zoo will be keeping its doors open until 9.30pm for a Fright Night for those who dare to stay after dark.There will be special late night attractions to get your hairs standing on end, along with great lighting effects around the zoo.Fright Nights will take place on October 21, 24, 26, 28 and 31, and access to the park is included in the standard admission price.However, the special attractions will require a wrist band for £5 per person. Family Medieval Harvest Weekend, Cressing TempleOctober 21-October 22Get a taste of life between the fifth and 15th Century this weekend as you witness Medieval re-enactors and much more.The whole family will be able to learn all about the food during the historic era, as well as lifestyle and the type of entertainment at the time.Visitors can get stuck in with the re-enactors and help them work on small craft projects for a small donation.This event has free parking and admission and runs from 10am to 4pm on both days.
