Sherlock and Dr Who star Mark Gatiss is visiting Woodbridge’s The Riverside Theatre.

The actor and writer shot to fame as part of The League Of Gentlemen and has enjoyed a successful TV, film and theatre career ever since. Earlier this year he was awarded the Olivier Award for best supporting actor for his role in The National Theatre’s production of Three Days In The Country.

His August 7 visit is part of the Riverside Nights programme with local film advisor and researcher Neil McGlone.

Theatre manager Tina Wiseman said: “We are delighted to welcome Mark Gatiss to talk to us about his career, take questions from the audience and introduce a surprise screening of a film of his choice.”
