Old jokes are an endangered species and that is why today was created, so the chicken can keep crossing the road and we can keep knocking on doors.
If we have had to listen to them time and time again, why should the younger generation miss out?
The oldest joke in the world was a Sumerian joke which dates back to 1900BC – the joke was about breaking wind, something which nearly 4,000 years later still makes us chuckle.
