TEXAS and James Blunt will play as part of Newmarket Nights’ 25th anniversary line-up, it’s been revealed.
The Scottish rockers, fronted by Sharleen Spiteri, will play the racecourse on June 24. Famous for hits such as I Don’t Want A Lover, Black Eyed Boy and Say What You Want, their first performance there in 2006 was a sell-out.
Acoustic pop rocker Blunt, catapulted to stardom by songs like You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover, will appear on July 15.
Stephen Wallis, Newmarket Racecourses managing director, said: “We are delighted to be announcing Texas, who continue to be mentioned as one of the best acts we have had in the 25 years of Newmarket Nights, and James Blunt for this year’s line-up.
“As in previous years, we expect tickets for this year’s nights to sell phenomenally fast so I would urge people to book early in order to ensure their ticket.”
