Motorbike Open Day

Do you have a motorbike lover in your life? If so, they need to attend this event.

Fastec Racing are holding their first ever opening day where they will display all of their new bikes, a range of clothing, helmets and accessories. You will also be able to watch how the company designs and makes custom parts, try the demo bikes and 121 Motorbike Training will be attending the event to answer any questions.

Two Brother Stunt Team will also be their showing off their skills. The event starts at 11am and finishes at 4pm.

A day out for the whole family, the battle comes to Ickworth.

Visit Ickworth this weekend as the 95th Rifles and many other regiments take over the grounds with authentic living, training and grand battles galore. There will be children’s drill workshops, living history demonstrations of camp surgery and authentic living.

Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead, however the loud bangs and noises of the battles may frighten dogs and small children.

The event starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm.

Take your children on a fairy tale adventure this weekend.

The fairies of Nowton Park are casting a magic spell which will allow humans to see the dwellings of all the enchanted folk who inhabit the walled gardens.

Take a stroll around and see how many of their homes you can spot, make sure you look closely though as there will be questions to answer along the way.

There will also be a woodland photo booth, face painting, storytelling, stalls and a raffle.

Tickets cost £8 per child which includes entrance to the enchanted trail and participation in the craft activities.

Adults and children under two go in for free.

Garden Opening Event

Enjoy a day out with the family at the beautiful Blakenham Woodland Garden.

The event is being held as a celebration of the Magnolias and Bluebells that have sprung, there are over 30 different Magnolia flowers currently in the garden.

The whole facility will be open for the event and there will be teas, coffees and shrubs for sale.

The event starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm.

Challenge yourself in 2018 by taking part in our abseil down Colchester Town Hall, in the heart of the town.

Do something you’ll never forget while raising money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (each).

There are two time slots, 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm.

You must be over 12 to take part and the sponsorship target for each person is £100.

Bollywood entertainment, music, singing and dancing and Indian food stalls are all on the menu at this popular annual event.

The Holi Festival has been rearranged for this weekend, after having to be postponed because of a downpour.

The highlight for many is the chance to cover one another in coloured powder.

The event runs from 1 to 4pm.

Gin Tasting Event

The Severals Pavilion, Newmarket

Grab the gin lover in your life and head to The Severals Pavilion in Newmarket for an enjoyable evening.

There will be over 100 gins from around the world for you to choose from which will all be served with a premium mixer and garnish.

There are two tasting sessions to chose from 5pm to 8pm or 8pm to 11pm.

Tickets for the event range from £6.20 - £34, depending on how much you plan to drink.
