MANCHESTER United owners, the Glazers, have stressed the club is not for sale despite rumours of a takeover bid from the Red Knights Group.
With debts mounting and concerns being raised over details contained within the prospectus for the recent 500million bond sale, the Red Knights, a group of wealthy United supporters, could launch a bid to buy the club.
Notorious football deal maker and lifelong United fan, Keith Harris, is at the centre of the group but the Glazers insisted last night they would not entertain selling the club.
A Glazer family spokesman said: “Manchester United is not for sale.”
