THERE have been a few poor penalties taken through the years - but is this the worst ever?
In a recent game, Al Ahly’s Amir Sayoud tried the old John Aldridge ‘freeze the keeper’ routine while taking a penalty for the Egyptian side.
Unfortunately he just confused himself, fell over and barely made contact with the ball.
And to make matters worse, the midfielder was also booked for an illegal spot-kick.
Al Ahly still won the match, against Kima Aswan, 4-0.
