Formed more than 20 years ago in Glasgow, Belle and Sebastian continue to provide a biting commentary on real life.
They take the everyday, humdrum and mundane and make it shine with blissful indie folk tunes and a rapier rhetoric.
And Latitude loved them.
They played a perfect festival set of new and old and had the impressive crowd singing along to every word.
The band has amassed a tight, cult following of loyal fans. And, if the number of t-shirts with Belle and Sebastian emblazoned across the front on display on site was anything to go by, plenty of diehards made the trip to Henham Park.
The highlight was their 1998 chamber pop classic The Boy With the Arab Strap which lolled and waltzed through the summer air - its Wurlitzer refrain had everyone dancing.
Belle and Sebastian are festival veterans and this performance proved their longevity is very well deserved.
