A Suffolk symphony orchestra and choir will mark the centenary of the Great War’s ending with a concert including dedications to three members who died this year.
Trianon Music Group’s “Remembrance and Renewal” concert at Snape Maltings Concert Hall will reflect on the creative work of wartime composers George Butterworth, Ralph Vaughan Williams and Ivor Gurney.
The group, which also held a concert in 2014 to mark the centenary of the war’s commencement, will use this latest event to also look forward at post-war events, including women’s suffrage and jazz.
Taking place on Saturday, September 15, the concert is said to have taken on “an even more significant role” with its dedications to three members who have died in 2018.
Tickets for the concert are on sale now from Aldeburgh productions, on 01728 687110, or the Trianon Ticketline, 01394 283170.
