From one of the biggest festivals in the country to the world's most famous artist, there are lots of things to do in Suffolk this summer. 

Here are the biggest events taking places in the county in July 2023.

1. Latitude Festival, Henham Park

The hugely popular Latitude Festival will be making its return to Henham Park this summer. 

Headline acts for the festival include George Ezra, Pulp and Paolo Nutini, while comedians including Russell Howard and Romesh Ranganathan will also be in attendance. 

Attracting thousands of visitors every year, Suffolk's most famous festival is likely to be a big hit again this year. 

And you are never to far away from a surprise appearance from Ed Sheeran.

2. Newmarket Nights, Newmarket

People from across the region will once again flock to the world's most famous racecourse to see some of the best musical acts in the country. 

While pop band Bastille have already played to the west Suffolk crowd, the legendary Craig David and Hacienda Classical will entertain audiences. 

Tickets for the afternoon's racing and concert start from £33.60.

3. Urban Frame: Mutiny in Colour, Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket

Work by one of the most famous artists of all time will make its way to Haverhill in July. 

Banksy's Hula Hoop Girl will be on display at venues in Haverhill, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds throughout the month. 

As well as work by the mysterious artist, the exhibition also features Tracey Ermin and Damien Hirst.

4. Stowmarket Food & Drink Festival, Stowmarket

Kicking off July is the popular Stowmarket Food and Drink Festival. 

Thousands of people make their way to the event every year, which is held right across the town. 

Stalls this year include artisan street food, local produce makers and a pop-up bar.

5. Clare Priory Craft Fair, Clare

Explore your crafty side and take in hundreds of stall at one of Suffolk's biggest craft fairs. 

Clare Priory Craft Fair attracts an estimated 10,000 people across the two days, all of whom are keen to explore a range of different craft stalls. 

Tickets for the event cost £5, with all proceeds going to charity.

6. Motorsport East, Bury St Edmunds 

This completely free event in Bury St Edmunds town centre exhibits the best of motorsport in East Anglian. 

From classic cars to an F1 simulator, Motorsport East has attracted large crowds since it was launched in 2021.

7. Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival, Ipswich 

Why not end see the month with a beer in your hand at one of Suffolk's favourite beer festivals? 

Now into its 27th year, the Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival will take place at St Clement's Church.

There will be more than 100 different ales, making it a worthwhile visit.
