The Coastguard was launched to rescue a capsized fishing boat off the coast of Felixstowe.
The incident took place about 10am last Friday near the Felixstowe Ferry with two individuals on board.
The Harwich RNLI Inshore Lifeboat found the boat aground and partially submerged.
The two individuals had safely made it to shore before the Coastguard arrived.
Other fishing boats were helping to recover the vessel but the tide was rising.
The ILB determined the safest course of action was for the owner of the fishing boat to return at low tide and pump out water in an attempt to refloat the boat.
After fufilling their mission, the Coastguard was stood down at 11.12am.
