A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for rain in parts of Suffolk later this week.

Storm Babet will bring a period of very wet weather to parts of the county, including Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds in west Suffolk, and stretching as far down as Orford on the Suffolk coast.

The yellow warning for rain is in place from 9pm on Wednesday, October 18 until 6am on Saturday, October 21.

There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded and there is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services.

Drivers should take care on roads as spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and road closures. Bus and train services could also be affected.
