A man has appeared in court after he was allegedly caught in possession of a knife and cannabis on the Suffolk-Cambridgeshire border.
Junik Ferizaj, 25, of no fixed abode, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday charged with dangerous driving, possession of cannabis, possession of a knife and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
His trial is on the warned list for Monday, February 12, meaning it could happen at any point in the two week period following that date.
The court was told officers pursued a vehicle through a rural area after it was seen leaving Newmarket in west Suffolk at about 9.25am on Monday, August 21 last year.
The vehicle was eventually stopped on the border between Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, allowing officers to carry out a search of the vehicle.
A 25-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article, being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving with no insurance.
